The island of Praslin is the second largest island in the Republic of Seychelles. It is 11 km long by 4 km wide and covers an area of 42 km2. It is a granite and mountainous island recognized as a paradise on earth in the Seychelles. The natural environment of the island is beautiful, with a mysterious atmosphere and the colorful colors of the rainforest. There is the national reserve of the "valley of May" where one finds there the greatest variety in the world of endemic plants like the Coco De Mer "Coco Fesse", the valley of May is registered in the cultural heritage of the Unesco. Coco de Mer, the natural form of which makes you blush, is also called "sacred fruit, the immense leaf of the coconut palm looks like a natural umbrella: it covers the sky. In Praslin there is the most beautiful and famous beach, the beach of "côte d'Or". Located to the north near one of the most beautiful hotels in the Seychelles Constance Lemuria 5*, the beach "Anse Lazio" and the beach "Anse Georgette" are immersed in natural vegetation and are preserved from the rest of the island. Praslin is the ideal place for the practice of scuba diving, "snorkelling" (mask and snorkel). You will find many excursions. It is recommended to rent a car in Praslin.
